Without bothering with the rights and stuff, what soundtracks do you like best in your movies?
A few of mine:
Mirwais - Disco science (also a soundtrack in Snatch)
Vast - Touched (a soundtrack from Beach)
Junkiexl - zerotonine
Chemical brothers - my elastic eye
Carl orf - O fortuna (that classical classical trailer music you've probably heard a few times)
Then some music from massive attack or a bit of asian music.
I'm a soundtrack man. What are your favorite soundtracks for us to download?

id say this is a silly question...
everyone has thier own personal fave type of music when it comes to music, but when it comes to soundtrack youre gunna use what ever suits the film best, and its not like you use the same music in ALL your films, so not like X song is my fave for chase scenes.
I could tell you im about to use Iniquiity- Desiderated Profligacy in a horror film but that would mean nothing to you
Sorta on this topic tho, alot of the music on shorts is **** . I guess cos people have limited resources or use the music you get from copyright free CDs... but every short ive seen seems to have this same boring piano stuff regardless whether its horror, thriller, or just some depressing thing.

I got my most recent soundtrack done by Murray Fenton and it was fan-dabi-dozi!
My soundtrack of choice at the moment is Barry Lyndon - Sarabande by Handel is tremendous!
It was also used in the UK on a jeans (and soft drink spoof) advert...

Music is important to a film,so the music should be important to the filmmaker,so the music in the filmmakers piece should be important to both. I don't believe that a director or whatever should just put music thats "hot" (ex. *** or fast and the furious)...thats just lame and another form of selling out to the box office. I personally enjoy anything by Vincent Gallo,Neutral Milk Hotel,Songs hia, and Damien Jurado...mostly indie/folk.
